Srinagar : , Dec 27, 2007 – Police said Monday that the charge sheet for the Kashmir terror blogger case against the accused will contain “strong evidence”.The terror blogger “Kashmirfight” was run by the Srinagar Municipal Corporation’s ex-Secretary Sofi Muhammad Akbar.
His son Tabish Akbar Akbar Rehmani is also being held in custody.Police said that the charges against them were “nearing completion”.They have strong evidence against the accused.
The terror blog could act as an eyes and ears for terrorists, identifying targets to be targeted.
A police official stated that the list uploaded by the blog contained names of prominent citizens, journalists and police officers.
When Syed Shujaat Bukhari, a senior journalist was shot to death on June 14, 2018, police had filed an FIR against this blog.
Police arrested five people in July.They were identified as Sofi Akbar in Rajbagh, Sofi Akbar in Sanatnagar and Nazish Yasrab Rehmani in Sanatnagar.
Javed Khalid, from Poonch, was also taken into police custody.These individuals were allegedly behind a blog that allegedly conducted smear campaigns, prepared a hitlist of well-known Kashmiri figures, and Peerzada Rqif Makhdoomi
A special NIA court granted Bail to Yasrab Rehmani (Khalil) on September 11.
