Agartala : , Dec 26 : .BJP MLA Ashis das, who joined Trinamool Congress on October 31 (TMC), claimed that “saffron goons attacked him in northern Tripura” while he was returning home from Bagbassa to complete an organisational program.After filing a complaint to the Panisagar Police Station, Das stated that he was among the architects of the BJP government being installed in Tripura in 2018.He would also take every recourse against Sunday’s attack.
He said that BJP attacking Trinamool Congress wouldn’t be able “to prevent the party(TMC) coming to power at 2023 assembly elections,” and also criticised Chief Minister Biplab Kul Kumar Deb.
After Das’s 55-day membership to the TMC, the ruling BJP has yet not taken any actions.TMC stated that violence continued in Tripura “in BJP’s Gunda Raj”.

After attending a party, Das was on his way to Dharmanagar.Biplab Deb and his friends held Das, beat him and tore off his clothes.”This is totally unacceptable,” said the statement.
Official version of the incident was not provided by police officials.
