Imphal/Agarala Dec 26, : .Prime Minister Narendra Modi will likely visit Manipur & Tripura to launch various projects and address crowds on January 4, officials announced on Sunday.
Officials from A Manipur’s government said the PM would launch projects in poll-bound states and speak at a gathering in Imphal.

While the detailed program of the Prime Minister is still to be completed, N.Biren Singh, Manipur Chief Minister and other senior officials have been in contact with his Office.

The 60-seat Manipur Assembly elections will likely be held next February/March along with polls in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

Amit Shah, Union Home Minister of India, has already spoken at two meetings from Delhi.BJP President J.P.Nadda was in Manipur for four visits during the last three months.He also addressed many public meetings.

The Prime Minister of Tripura will open the renovated terminal at Agartala’s Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport and other projects.He will speak at an Agartala rally before he departs for New Delhi.

Tripura’s Chief Secretary Kumar Alok briefed Prime Minister on Saturday about schemes and projects that were to be started.

Officials from the Airport Authority of India stated that a new terminal building was constructed and infrastructure built under the project worth Rs 438 Crore.This will allow for around 1,200 passengers to be accommodated at once.

Officials indicated that the MBB Airport, which is the second-busiest airport in the region’s northeast after Guwahati will likely be made an international airport following the ceremony.
