Lahore (12/12/IANS) The Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Ramiz Raja, stated that drop-in pitches would benefit both domestic and international cricketers.The PCB and Arif Habib Group signed an agreement to create two drop-in pitch facilities in Pakistan.
Drop-in pitches will surely benefit both domestic and international players.We have had to struggle over the years with the added bounce and speed that the pitch in Australia or New Zealand provides.

Raja stated that despite the talent and abilities of many, it has yet to win an away series in Australia.His record in New Zealand is also in decline.

Raja was a strong advocate for drop-in pitch introductions in Pakistan even before he became the Chairman of the PCB.The agreement stipulates that the Arif Habib Group would install two drop-in pitches in Karachi at Naya Nazimabad Cricket Stadium and another at an additional location to be confirmed and identified by the PCB.
