Comedy series ‘Big Door Prize’ to feature Chris O’Dowd

Los Angeles, December 8, 2008 : Chris ODowd will star in the comedy series The Big Door PrizeBased on the M.

O.The M.O.Walsh novel of the same title inspired the series 10-episode series.It is the story of a small town that is forever altered when a mysterious machine appears at a grocery store promising to reveal each resident’s true potential, reports Variety.com.

ODowd will play Dusty, a kind-hearted teacher and family man who has lived a relatively normal life until the arrival of the mysterious machine forces him to question his happiness.ODowds TV starring roles include the Epix series "Get Shorty" and the short-form series "State of the Union", which earned him an Emmy in 2019.

His other TV roles include "The IT Crowd", "Moone Boy", and "Girls".He is well-known for his roles in films like Bridesmaids, The Starling, This Is 40, and St.Vincent.David West Read, executive producer of Schitts Creek, is adapting The Big Door Prize for the screen.

He will also serve as showrunner and executive producer of the series.Along with David Ellison and Dana Goldberg, Bill Bost and Hyun Park from CJ ENM/Studio Dragon, Miky Lee, Young Kyu Kim, and HyunPark executive produce.
