Los Angeles, Nov 24, : , A sequel to 2021’s family-friendly adventure “Clifford the Big Red Dog” is in development.Paramount Pictures has not yet revealed whether the latest installment will be available in theaters or simultaneously on digital platforms like the original, reports Variety.com.
The first film was released in theaters in November.It has generated $34 million domestically and is concurrently playing on Paramount Plus.
Paramount claims that “Clifford the Big Red Dog” has been the streaming service’s most-watched original movie to date, even though it didn’t give any metrics.Paramount Plus was rebranded as CBS All Access last March, with limited cinematic offerings.”Clifford” wasn’t able to compete for the title of streamer’s most-watched original film.
Based on the children’s book series “Clifford the Big Red Dog”, the story of Emily Elizabeth (12 years old) who is given a little red puppy.
Surprised, she wakes up to discover that her tiny dog has grown into a 10-foot-tall, 10-foot-long hound.
The cast includes Kenan Thompson, Darby Camp and Tony Hale.
Walt Becker directed “Clifford the Big Red Dog” from a script by Jay Scherick and Blaise Hummingway.
Scholastic Entertainment and eOne collaborated on the film.
eOne distributed “Clifford” in Canada and the UK.
