2 cases of cheating are registered by the TN Police against an ex-minister

Chennai, November 18th : , The Virudhunagar District Crime Branch Police has registered two cases of cheating against former Minister Rajenthra Bhalaji’s assistants and an ex-functionary from the AIADMK.
These cases were filed on the grounds of a claim by K.Nallathambi (an ex-functionary of AIADMK), that he had received Rs 1.6 million from various people, and then handed the money over to Bhalaji for government jobs.

S.Raveendran, a Sattur resident in Tamil Nadu, claimed that he handed Rs 30 lakh to K.Nallathambi (union secretary of AIADMK) between November 20th and February 2021.

Mariappan, another functionary of the AIADMK introduced him to Nallathambi.

He claimed that Mariappan promised him a job in Aavin as a manager.Raveendran claimed that he gave Rs 30 lakh, which he had raised through various loans, to Nallathambi upon meeting Rajenthra Balaji.

Ravindran claimed that Ravichandran, the Virudhunagar East district Secretary of AIADMK was Nallathambi’s brother and was aware that money was being given to him.He claimed that he could not meet anyone after the AIADMK lost its Assembly election and the DMK government took office.

Nallathambi also filed a lawsuit against Rajenthra Bhalaji, his former minister, and his accomplices Baburaj Muthupandian and Balaraman.He claimed that he had received Rs 1.60 cr from many people under Bhalaji’s instructions promising them work and then had given the money to Bhalaji, his associates, and Bhalaji.

Nallathambi claimed that Bhalaji hadn’t repaid Rs 1.40crore he spent on various programs of the AIADMK, under Bhalaji’s direction.The complaint also stated that the ex-AIADMK functionary claimed that Bhalaji was sending him death threats and that his friends were threatening to kill him.
