Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has said that the Andhra Pradesh state govt has decided to adopt a new tradition of providing compensation to every farmer affected by natural calamities before the end of the season.In this context, the Andhra Pradesh state govt has recently credited Rs.22 crores under crop compensation directly into the bank accounts of the farmers’ accounts.
Speaking on this occasion, CM Jagan said, “We are embarking on another program for the welfare of the farmers.If the farmers are in trouble, the rural economy will falter.” More than 62 per cent are dependent on agriculture, said CM Jagan.CM Jagan said that the YCP govt is a farmer-biased government.
Compensation for losses incurred in any season will be paid directly to the farmers in the same season.34,586 farmers were affected by cyclone Gulab two months ago.Rs.22 crore crop compensation is being credited to the farmer’s accounts before the end of the season.CM Jagan said that the compensation is being credited directly to their accounts.
On this occasion, CM Jagan recalled that in these two and a half years, only through the YSR farmer guarantee, Rs.18,777 crore was directly credited into the accounts of farmers.
