President Ram Nath Kovind had earlier in the day presented the Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna to 12 sportspersons including Neeraj Chopra, Paralympics gold medallists Sumit Antil, Avani Lekhara, Manish Narwal, Pramod Bhagat, and Krishna Nagar.The Major Dhyan Chaud Khel Ratna was presented earlier by President Ram Nath Kovind to 12 athletes, including Neeraj Chopra and Paralympics gold medallists Sumit Antil.
The President also presented Arjuna Awards to 35 sportspersons on the occasion.On the occasion, 35 sportspeople were presented Arjuna awards by the President.
