The much awaited Huzurabad by-election polling in Telugu states has begun.Polling will be held on Saturday from 7 am to 7 pm.A total of 2,37,022 voters will cast their votes at 306 polling stations.The election has become highly ambitious for Etela Rajender, who left the TRS and entered the ring as a BJP candidate.
BJP and TRS parties in Telangana considered this election as prestigious and extensively campaigned in the constituency.
Many BJP and TRS leaders stayed in Huzurabad and campaigned.
Speculations are rife that people from both the Telugu states are betting crores of rupees on the Huzuraabd by-poll.
The campaign ended 72 hours before polling in the Huzurabad constituency.
Generally, the campaign used to end 48 hours before the polling date.But, in the wake of Covid, the State election commission ordered to stop campaigning before 72 hours of the polling date.
There is a huge outrage in the Huzuraabd constituency as a particular political party distributed money to voters.Police, on the other hand, have set up heavy security to prevent any untoward incidents during the by-elections.
Three-tier security arrangements have been made at the trouble spots.
