Andhra Pradesh State Chief Electoral Officer Vijayanand issued key directives in the wake of the upcoming Badwell constituency by-election in the Kadapa district.He said that the electoral code has come into force as the SEC has issued the election notification.
Speaking on this occasion, he clarified that the volunteers of the village and ward secretariats could not participate in the election process.
Also, he said that more than five members are not allowed for the election campaign in the constituency.
The State Election Commission decided to set up a postal ballot facility for the disabled and people over 80 years of age.Currently, there are 3,837 people over the age of 80 in the Badvel constituency.
Of the 272 centres in the constituency, 30 centres were identified as sensitive centres by the State Election Commission.In the wake of the Covid, the authorities banned rallies and campaigns on two-wheelers during the election campaign.
Also, the Returning Officer said that only one candidate should accompany the candidate during the nomination process.YCP and TDP have already announced their candidates.
However, the BJP and Janasena have not yet announced their candidates.
