On Thursday, the state government announced 49.92 acres of land in Kokapeta for auction.The state government has divided the entire 49.92 acres of land into eight plots and priced at Rs 2,000 crore.The state govt has set a minimum price of Rs 31.2 crore and an average of Rs 40.05 crore per acre in Khanamet.

Against this backdrop, the Khanamet land auction received a wide range of responses from the bidders.The state govt divided the entire 14.91 acres of land in Khanamet into five plots, and an online auction was held under the auspices of HMDA.The auction raised about Rs 729.41 crores of revenue for the government.The average price per acre was Rs 48.92 crore, and the maximum price per acre was Rs 55 crore.

According to officials, this resulted in fetching more revenue through Khanamet lands than from the Kokapeta lands.In total, the auction of Kokapeta and Khanamet lands generated revenue of Rs 2,729 crore for the Telangana state government.
