The Hyderabad rain statistics state Charminar has recorded highest rainfall during June to October period.

Hyderabad people have witnessed the never-before situation of floods due to highest rains in recent times.

Among all the places of rain-affected, the iconic Charminar has topped the charts.According to the Telangana State Development Planning Society, Charminar has recorded overall rainfall of 1,417 mm against usual rainfall of 623 mm in the past three-four months.The famous tourist place has recorded 528.6 mm of rains in the past 12 days.

After Charminar, Rajendranagar stands next with a cumulative rainfall of 1,374 mm.From then, the list follows with Saroornagar (1,331 mm), Asifnagar (1,338 mm) and Ameerpet (1,308 mm) on the frontline flood-affected areas.The statistics say nearly 30 regions have got over 1,000 mm of rainfall during this monsoon, officials said.

The overall rainfall in the city has crossed the 1,200 mm mark this monsoon against usual rain of 656.2 mm.The most iconic city in the country has recorded an excess rainfall of 1,249 mm.Rangareddy and Medchal-Malkajgiri have followed it with 1,130.7 mm and 1,176.8 mm respectively.Apart from that, Hyderabad has registered 134 cm of rains against usual annual rainfall of 82 cm since January this year.
