Had to shed 30 kilos and lived with 30 Elephants for that role – Rana

Rana has always been the person with ‘big’ physique.His look from Bahubali tells the story.

For his role as Bhallaladeva, Rana has built immense muscle and gained weight to look big on the screen.Since then, the actor has always maintained a big personality when it came to his characterizations.

In his upcoming flick Aranya (Haathi Mere Saathi in Hindi); Rana is looking lean and smart.Speaking on the drastic transformation, ‘the role of Bandev is the most difficult role I’ve ever played in my career.

Personally, I always wanted to be strong and fit physically.When director Prabhu Solomon asked me to reduce the weight by 30kgs to get the right look for my character, I felt it challenging, and I thoroughly enjoyed the transformation.To get into the skin of Bandev character, I spent close to 2.5 years in the forests with 30 elephants or so.The experience was amazing, and I really take this opportunity to thank my director Prabhu Solomon for giving the change to play this role’, Rana said.The film’s unit shot the movie in the forests of 6-7 countries in and around Asia.
