Police have arrested YSRTP president YS Sharmila for staging a dharna in front of the Telangana Public Service Commission (TSPSC) office demanding immediate filling of vacant government jobs in the state.She was taken into custody and taken to the police station due to a heavy traffic jam.However, she is continuing her dharna at the station.Earlier, Sharmila along with activists staged a lightning dharna in front of the TSPSC office demanding release of notifications for 91,000 government jobs in the state.
The petition was then handed over to TSPSC Chairman Janardhan Reddy.
Sharmila, along with activists, had earlier told the TSPSC office that they would continue the protest till evening in support of the unemployed.This caused a huge traffic jam.This caused serious problems for motorists.It was during this sequence that the police reached there and arrested Sharmila along with the party workers.Rushed to the police station.
However, she is continuing her initiation at the station.‘Unemployed people are committing suicide but the Chief Minister not responding.
