The Mohanlal-starrer ‘Drishyam 2’ directed by Jeethu Joseph, released by Amazon Prime on February 19th 2021, has impressed audiences with its unique yet engaging storyline.Usually, thriller films that have sequels do not prove to be interesting but this is not the case for ‘Drishyam’ as the second film was very intriguing and gripping.
Jeethu Joseph has also decided to direct remake of the Mohanlal-starrer in Telugu with Venkatesh Daggubati.
The shooting went on floors on March 2nd and within less than 2 months, Venkatesh has wrapped up his shooting part.
On Thursday, Venkatesh Daggubati who will play the hero in the film wrapped up his portion of the shoot.Only a few days of shooting is pending which includes the portions of other actors and then the team will move on to the post-production phase.
The shooting took place in Kerala amidst tight security and strict measures of COVID-19.
‘Drushyam 2’ has Esther Anil and Meena from the original cast of ‘Drishyam’ while Nadhiya will continue in the role of the police officer whose son is killed by Rambabu’s (Venkatesh) daughter.
The second part will continue with where Rambabu hid the body of Nadhiya’s son.Now Venky is all set to return to the sets of his ongoing project ‘F3’ under the direction of Anil Ravipudi and he will also be seen in the action-drama ‘Naarappa’ which will be released during the summer season.
