Chennai 11 August : Dalit’s political group Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) will hold a demonstration on Saturday.protest against police targeting communities during the Kallakurichi violence in July, which resulted in the suicide of an XI Class girl student.VCK the founder and MEP of Parliament Thol Thiruvamavalan stated that VCK would hold protests on the 13th of August and urged authorities in law enforcement, including the police to investigate the incident in the proper way.
In a statement released on Thursday in a statement on Thursday, the VCK leader stated that certain policemen looking into the matter are avoiding the investigation and laying accusations against youths from Dalit.
He said that a caste organization worked in close cooperation with police and was facilitating the arrests of young Dalit people who were gullible.The violence has transformed into a debate point and a number of youngsters are being detained by police custody, Thol Thiruvamavalan added.
The VCK leader claimed that police in the disguise of the investigation were making the investigation into a sham and several Dalit youngsters as well as their families were targeted.Policemen were detaining people after they had a thorough check of their caste.instead of investigating the motives behind the suicide of the girl student, policemen targeted Dalit youngsters as well as their families.
He stated that the VCK will conduct a series of massive peaceful protests throughout the state on the 13th of August.
