San Francisco, November 20, : , Twitter has launched its in-app tipping service to Android users over 18 years old following September’s iOS launch.According to TechCrunch, Twitter’s “Tips” feature was designed for users who want to receive financial assistance from their friends through Cash App or PayPal.
Android users will now be able to set themselves up to receive tips by clicking the “Edit Profile” button, then select “Tips”, to begin.
Twitter stated that Tips is a simple way for people to find links to their payment profiles.
It also makes it easy to help the people behind the Twitter conversation — regardless of whether you are looking to help a content creator or fundraise, tip someone in need, thank them for being funny, or just say thanks.
After reports that the microblog site was developing a direct-pay option, the feature was introduced by the site in May.
This launch of “Tips for Android” comes one month after Twitter launched “Ticketed Spaces”.
This feature allows Spaces hosts to sell Spaces access.
Social media company, Facebook noted the new feature as a way of supporting creators in their effort to moderate and host public discussions.
