Abhishek Bachchan who is well known in the B-town for trying out films with new scripts and genres is now hitting the screens with a film that is titled ‘Big Bull’.Directed by Kookie Gulati, the film is inspired by true events based on the stock market scam by Harshad Mehta, who was often called the ‘Big Bull’ of the Dalal Street.
Ajay Devgn is one of the producers of the film.The ‘Big Bull’ will premiere on Disney+Hotstar platform on April 8th.
Coming to the film’s trailer, the film will narrate the rags to riches story of a young Gujarathi man who rose to control the stock market.The film traces his journey amidst struggles, and rivals to become India’s first billionaire.
Ileana is also a part of the film in the role of a Journalist.In fact, it is Ileana who exposes the scam through her investigation and hence one sees the film through her lens.
The film also features Nikita Dutta, Soham Shah, Ram Kapoor, Supriya Pathak, and Saurabh Shukla.
The ‘Big Bull’ was earlier supposed to release in theatres on October 23th, 2020.But the film was postponed due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.Interestingly, Hansal Mehta had also made a web series, ‘Scam 1992’, based on the same story, starring Pratik Gandhi in the lead role.
The web series received praises from the audience and the critics alike.The pressure is now on Abhishek Bachchan and the makers to match up to the great performances in ‘Scam 1992’.Watch the trailer here.
