It is a known fact that Tamil actor Prashanth is acting in the Tamil remake of Bollywood’s super hit film ‘Andhadhun‘ that was directed by Sriram Raghava.Titled as ‘Andhagan’ in Tamil, the film will have Prashanth reprising the role played by Ayushmann Khurrana while Simran will be reprising the role played by Tabu in the original.
‘Andhagan’ was initially supposed to be directed by JJ.Fredrick who made his debut in Tamil cinema with the Jyotika starrer ‘Ponmagal Vandhal’ which released on OTT during the lockdown.
Now the latest update is that Prashanth’s father, Thiagarajan has taken over the direction of this film from director JJ Fredrick.
Sharing this news, JJ Fredrick wrote, “This is to inform you all that I’m not directing the film, Andhagan, and good luck to the team.
Thank you all for the support and love and will keep you posted about my next project very soon.” The reason behind his exit is still not known.

The film will also be produced by Prashant’s father, Thiagarajan under the home banner, Star Movies.The film also has Karthik, Yogi Babu, Oorvasi, KS Ravikumar, Manobala, Vanitha Vijayakumar, Leela Samson, Semmalar, Poovaiyar, and others in important roles.Keep watching this space for more updates!
