The Telangana government has decided to stop giving the flood aid of Rs 10,000 to allow GHM staff to return to their duties.

On Friday, the government has immediately ordered to stop the disbursal of Rs 10,000 help to flood victims in the GHMC area.According to the reports, all GHMC officials have to submit their accounts and hand over the rest of the cash to their zonal offices.

Reportedly, the main reason behind the decision was to free up the GHMC officials and staff to return to their regular assigned duties.Till now the officials have distributed Rs 357 crore to 3.5 lakh flood victims in the city since October 19 when Chief Minister K.Chandrashekar Rao has announced the immediate relief citing massive floods in GHMC areas.

The GHMC officials say the distribution of Rs 10,000 will be done from the GHMC headquarters from now on for those left out.They can claim the aid of submitting the necessary proofs.Earlier, the government promised to provide Rs 1 lakh in assistance to those families who have suffered from severe house damage and Rs 50,000 for the homes with partial damages.
