The BJP party leaders are thinking about allowing Raja Singh, who represents Goshamahal, to participate in the upcoming elections in Telangana.They might cancel his suspension and include his name in the list of candidates soon.
The party is also considering having more women and candidates from Backward Classes in the elections.
Earlier, Raja Singh got suspended from the BJP after making remarks that upset some people.
This happened in August 2022, but later, the High Court said his arrest was not justified.Since then, he hasn’t been very active in party matters, except for a procession in March 2023.
Raja Singh is the only BJP member who won in the 2018 elections in Goshamahal, Hyderabad.Because he’s well-liked not just in his area but across the country, the central party leaders might decide to lift his suspension and let him run on the party’s ticket.
However, if they don’t choose him for Goshamahal, it could cause problems for the party.Some important BJP figures have tried to help Raja Singh, but he still remains suspended.
