Telangana Government has come up with two important decisions for Telugu Film Industry.As KTR stated couple of moths ago, changes have been made in official awards from the government and number of shows in single screens
The government of Telangana is likely to change the name of its annual Nandi Awards to Kakateeya Awards.
Officials will make this announcement in April, 2016.Another interesting decision is that the KCR Government also agreed for a fifth show in single screen theatres for Small Budgeted Films.
A new show of 4 PM will come into existence and the regular timings will be changed to adjust the new one
However, the Government has limited the increase in show count for only low budgeted films as of now.It would be interesting to see what stand Telangana would take on high budgeted films
Let’s see if there comes any objection from the film fraternity over the change in the name “Nandi Awards”.With less chances to happen, the government would not take any objection on higher note as “Kakateeya” resembles the history and pride of Telangana
