In a concerning turn of events, BJP Goshamahal MLA Raja Singh revealed on Wednesday that he had been subjected to threatening calls, not only directed towards him and his family but also targeting Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ahead of the election counting day.
In his official complaint to the Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad, the BJP MLA disclosed, “The caller asserted to possess a sinister plan aimed at my life.Additionally, they outlined intentions to cause harm to both myself and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath during his forthcoming campaign in my Goshamahal constituency, slated to take place shortly.The conversation spanned approximately six minutes.”
This alarming call was received on the legislator’s personal mobile number.
“I implore your esteemed department to take immediate and decisive action in this regard.I have already embarked on my election campaign and padyatra within my constituency, and a significant number of constituents are frequenting my office for election-related matters,” he articulated in his complaint.
Drawing attention to the threat posed to UP CM Yogi Adityanath, the BJP leader underscored, “While I have encountered menacing calls in the past, it is imperative that the authorities treat this specific threat with the utmost seriousness, especially given the reference to targeting the esteemed UP CM.”
