Telangana BJP chief will launch the fourth stage of padyatra next week

Hyderabad 5th September : To keep the pressure on the TRS government, Telangana state BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar is set to launch the fourth part of his Praja Sangrama Yatra next week.
Sanjay will begin the padyatra at Quthbullapur close to Hyderabad on the 12th of September.

The walkathon will conclude with Pedda Amberpet, Ibrahimpatnam, on the 22nd of September.

The padayatra of 10 days will see him travel around nine Assembly constituencies for a total of 115.3 kilometers around the capital of the state.According to the schedule released by the opposition party he is scheduled to stop on the 17th of September to take part in the Telangana Liberation Day public meeting at the Parade Grounds in Secunderabad, which will be addressed by Union minister for home Amit Shah.

Sanjay who is an elected member of the Parliament will represent Quthbullapur, Serilingampally, Kukatpally, Secunderabad Cantonment, Malkajgiri, Medchal, Uppal and L.B.Nagar constituencies in the fourth phase.

The third part of the padyatra ended at Hanamkonda on the 27th of September and the public gathering to commemorate the occasion was presided over by BJP national president J.P.Nadda.

The third phase was characterized by tensions and clashes among TRS and BJP supporters at a handful of places that were visited by the BJP leader.He was detained in Jangaon district on the 23rd of August in the event that he tried to take part in a demonstration against the arrest of workers of the party in a sit-in at the home of TRS legislator K.Kavitha in Hyderabad.

The police had moved Sanjay to Karimnagar and he was held in house detention.

The police in Jangaon district had demanded the BJP leader to stop his padyatra since there was no authorization given for the same and there was suspicion of violation of peace.

Police had said in the report in the notice that in the name of padyatra the BJP leaders were making provocative remarks.

However the BJP moved to the Telangana High Court, which allowed it to continue the padyatra.

In the third and final phase of the padyatra that was launched on August 2nd, Sanjay covered 325 kms in five districts namely Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri, Nalgonda, Jangaon, Hanamkonda and Warangal

Sanjay had started the padyatra in August last year , as an outreach campaign to draw attention to the what he says are the failings of TRS government, and to highlight what BJP would do if they were elected to the presidency in the elections scheduled for for next year.

He began the first stage of the yatra at Bhagya Lakshmi temple in Charminar.He completed 438 kilometres in 36 days.He also also addressed 35 public gatherings.In the second stage, he covered 380 kilometres.

Sanjay finished the second stage of the yatra which had begun with Jogulamba Shakti Peetam temple in Alampur, Gadwal on April 14th.

On May 13, the union minister of home Amit Shah addressed the final meeting of the second stage in Tukkuguda close to Hyderabad.

BJP leaders have said that after a favorable public reaction to the padyatra Sanjay was able to announce the third phase starting next week.As in previous phases the national the leaders of the party as well as central ministers will speak at the public gatherings.

Sanjay plans to be able to cover all Assembly constituencies prior to the Assembly elections.Following two Assembly by-elections in the last two years, the saffron-colored party is positioning itself as an alternative to TRS.The BJP leaders believe they have a realistic possibility of being elected to power in the state.
