Bollywood star, former pornographic actress Sunny Leone appeared as a contestant on Bigg Boss 5 in 2011.Even though Juhi Parmar won that season, Sunny became one of the most popular contestants.
Reflecting on her experience, she shared how her life has come full circle since then and revealed that she had concerns about her safety before joining the show.
In her web series “Karenjit Kaur: The Untold Story,” it was revealed that Sunny Leone was offered a sum greater than the Bigg Boss 5 winning prize.Sunny clarified this and stated that she did get paid but was initially hesitant to participate in the show for various reasons.
One of her main concerns was about her safety and how people would react to her presence.
At the time, she viewed the opportunity as a means to make a down payment on a house after just getting married.She didn’t see it as a significant career move.
Interestingly, it was during her time on Bigg Boss 5 that filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, whose daughter Pooja Bhatt is now a contestant on the show, offered Sunny her Bollywood debut in the movie “Jism 2.” Back then, she had no idea who Mahesh Bhatt was and didn’t recognize him when he entered the Bigg Boss house.Everyone else in the house was excited about his presence, but she wasn’t familiar with the film industry personalities.
Nonetheless, Sunny Leone accepted the offer and made her Bollywood debut in “Jism 2.” She mentioned that she later realized Mahesh Bhatt’s significance and talent in the industry.
Life has come full circle for Sunny, as she fondly recalled attending the premiere of “Jism 2” with Mahesh Bhatt and his daughter Pooja, and now she herself is a contestant on Bigg Boss.
Recently, Sunny made her debut at the Cannes Film Festival for the premiere of her upcoming movie, “Kennedy.”
