Ramabanam was a family action drama starring Macho star Gopichand and directed by Sriwass.It was released last year with high expectations, as the same hero and director had delivered two blockbusters before: Lakshyam and Loukyam.
However, Ramabanam turned out to be a flop and incurred huge losses for the makers.
Gopichand recently spoke about the reasons behind Ramabanams failure during the promotions of his upcoming film Bhimaa.He said that the film lacked emotional appeal and failed to connect with the audience.
He also admitted that the story was outdated and the presentation was not up to the mark.He said that he realized that the film was going wrong halfway through the shooting, but it was too late to make any major changes.
He added that the films budget went overboard, which worsened the situation.
Gopichand also revealed that he had objected to shooting some scenes that he felt were unnecessary and would be removed in the editing.However, the team did not agree with him and went ahead with filming those scenes.As he had predicted, those scenes were cut from the final version of the film.
The makers later released the deleted scenes on YouTube.For the unversed, Tottempudi Gopichand is an Indian actor who mainly acts in Telugu movies.He is famous for his action movies.
He started his acting career in 2001 with a movie called Tholi Valapu, where he was the main character.He then acted as a villain in some movies like Jayam, Nijam, and Varsham.
In 2004, he became popular as a hero Yagnam movie.His fans call him Action Star and Macho Star because of his strong and brave image.
