Smriti Irani, who is a Union Cabinet Minister and Member of Parliament, recently spoke about the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput.She was deeply affected by his untimely demise and even revealed that she had advised him not to kill himself.

Smriti, who is also known for playing Tulsi’s role in the serial Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, spoke about the day Sushant passed away.

Smriti said that she was on a video conference when she heard the unfortunate news.

She was so shocked that she couldn’t focus on the conference and had to ask people to stop speaking.She said that she wished Sushant had called her before taking such a drastic step.

She also revealed that she had advised him to not take such an extreme step and to not harm himself.

After hearing the news of Sushant’s death, Smriti immediately called Amit Sadh, who had worked with Sushant in the movie Kai Po Che! She was concerned about Amit and wanted to check up on him.She said that she had a feeling that something was wrong and that Amit was not doing well.Amit had also spoken about how much Smriti had helped him during this tough time.

In an interview with Chetan Bhagat on his podcast, Amit had said that he didn’t know how Smriti found out that he was in trouble.He had received a random call from her and they ended up talking for six hours.Amit had told Smriti that he didn’t want to work in the industry anymore and that he wanted to live in the mountains.Smriti had listened to him and had provided him with much-needed support during this difficult time.
