BJP state president Bandi Sanjay was angry that CM KCR and TRS leaders were spreading poisonous propaganda that the Center was privatizing the Singareni company.Singareni has been accused of trying to mislead workers in the run-up to the elections.
He said he had written a letter to Union Minister Prahlad Joshi to ascertain the facts of the campaign.
Bandi Sanjay released the explanatory letter given by the Union Minister on Sunday and spoke.
Prahlad Joshi explained that the state government has the largest share of 51 per cent in Singareni and the central share is only 49 per cent.He said it was impossible to privatize Singareni without the approval of the state government, which has a 51 per cent stake.
He explained that the Center had enacted a law to make the auction of coal blocks transparent under the Mines and Mineral Development Regulation Act-2015.
Since the introduction of the concept of commercial ‘mining’ in 2020, coal blocks have been allotted only through auction.
No one has bid for the 4 blocks belonging to Singareni.If you apply for those blocks, you can get Singareni company through auction, ”said Sanjay.
