Bengaluru 24 August : The ruling BJP is preparing to contest the Assembly elections of 2023, is confronting the obstacle of reservations with the well-known Lingayat seer declaring a massive protest against the saffron party on Thursday.
The BJP is concerned about a split in the Lingayat vote bank in the light of this.

Basava Jayamrutynjaya Swami, of Panchamasali Mutt of Koodala Sangama has declared that , as the deadline for granting reservation for the Lingayat Panchamasali community under the ‘2A” has passed and the agitation is set to be initiated in Shivamogga on the Thursday.

The elders and leaders of the community have set out to plan a huge gathering of Panchamasalis in Bengaluru on the 23rd of October.

The organizers have stated they will strive to bring together 25 lakh people to attend the event.

Prior to that, it was taken up to stage a demonstration in the front of the house of the Chief Minister Bommai at his home in Shiggaon city on the 26th of September.

The government BJP has been promising the community of offering reservation from the time of B.S.Yediyurappa.The ruling BJP was successful in splitting the religious mutts, and also in establishing an entirely new mutt that stop the anger.

The leader, Basava Jayamrutynjaya Swamiji, continued with the agitation, and appears to be gaining supporters from the communities.The ruling BJP has set four deadlines but is unable to act on it because it could be opening the door to Pandora’s Box.

Major communities such as Valmiki and Kuruba have been requesting reservations for their communities within different categories.The opposition Congress via Lingayat the leaders of Panchamasali sect is slowly able to gain the trust of the sub-sect, which makes up the largest portion of the Lingayat community, as per insiders.

Minister of Public Works Department, C.C.Patil has asked the seer as well as Panchamasali the community’s leaders to end the protests.CM Bommai is working towards the reservation process, he said.

Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has a difficult task ahead of him to calm the Panchamasali community.If she fails to do so, it will be a direct factor in the upcoming elections for the state assembly.
