Raghava Lawrence first Bollywood directorial Laxmii is receiving poor reviews from critics and viewers equally.
The Akshay Kumar starrer is streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar, and reportedly Akshay Kumar fans are heavily criticizing him for selecting the movie.Laxmii is the remake of South Indian Super Hit Kanchana.
Fans say the story is very weak and there are no improvisations from the director Raghava Lawrence to suit the Hindi audience.
Since the theatrical release, expectations were sky-high as it is releasing as a Diwali gift to the Akshay fans.
However, whoever watched the film have expressed their discontentment with the way it was portrayed on the screen.Accordingly, renowned film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh has also said, very disappointing in his one-word review.
“#Laxmii lacks the punch, it clearly disappoints.#OneWordReview… #Laxmii: DISAPPOINTING.Lacks the impact of the original [#Kanchana] … #AkshayKumar in terrific form, but weak screenwriting + forced comedy are downers… Gathers momentum in concluding portions… Expected so much more! However, most of the mass movies remade in Bollywood from South have received poor to moderate reviews from the critics and then went on to become Hits and Super Hits.
We have to see if Laxmii falls in the list or ends as a dud.
