Under this, transport department teams will be deployed at petrol pumps to check the pollution certification of vehicles coming for fuel.Also for those who do not have pollution certificate A fine of up to Rs 10,000 will be imposed.
As of October 14, 17,71,380 vehicles were plying on the roads without any pollution certification, the deputy commissioner said.To overcome these, the department has deployed 500 teams at petrol pumps.
Vehicles that do not have a pollution certificate will have 24 hours to submit them, he said.The registration number of the vehicle will then be verified online.
The e-challan will be sent to the homes of vehicles that do not have a pollution certificate.He said the campaign would last for a month.
At this point both awareness and rule among the people will have equal priority.The campaign is monitored online and offline.
Action will also be taken against drivers who violate the regulations.However the rule was brought in by the Delhi (Delhi) state government to control the rising pollution.
