The Warangal Police Commissionerate Task Force police seized 318 kg of cannabis in three different areas today.The Taskforce police arrested eleven suspects.
Also, they seized two cars, three autos and 11 cellphones along with the banned marijuana.
Warangal CP Dr Tarun Joshi disclosed the details of the inspections at the Hanumakonda Warangal Police Commissionerate office today.
Speaking on this occasion, CP said that the eleven accused are smuggling marijuana for easy money.
In the Sileru and Mothugudem areas in the Andhra Pradesh-Odisha border area, people used to buy cheap cannabis and smuggle it in cars to other places via Visakhapatnam, Rajahmundry, Bhadrachalam, Kottagudem, Narsampet, Khammam, Warangal and other places for easy money.
The Task Force and Vardhanapet police searched the vehicles at DC Tanda on Khammam-Warangal road and found 128 kg of cannabis in the car.Task Force and Nallabelli police together inspected vehicles in the Nallabelli suburb and found 134 kg of cannabis in the car and auto.
56 kg of cannabis was found in two autos in Khanapur.West Zone and East Zone DCPs Srinivas Reddy, Venkatalakshmi, Task Force of Vardhannapeta, Narsampeta ACPs Pratap Kumar, Phaninder, CIs Sadan Kumar, Satish, Santosh and staff were lauded for their thorough inspections and nabbing 11 accused in the incident.
