TJS president Prof Kodandaram blamed the Telangana movement on Prime Minister Modi’s remarks on the formation of Telangana.Professor Kodandaram said Modi’s remarks were demeaning to the Telangana community.
Seven years after the formation of the state of Telangana, the Center has still not fulfilled the promises of partition, he said.Kodandaram said that Prime Minister Modi did not like the formation of Telangana state.
Rather than repeating similar remarks, the state BJP leaders are also of the view that it should be taken care of.
He said that many states were formed in the country, but there was no movement anywhere like it happened for the formation of Telangana state.He said that three states were formed during the BJP regime and then it was deplorable to speak in support of Telangana state now.
Prime Minister Modi said that AP and Telangana were still suffering due to the manner in which Andhra Pradesh was redistributed.While saying that they are not against the formation of Telangana, they accused the AP of being hastily divided for political selfishness.He was incensed that the partition bill was passed without discussion in a hurry.
Talking together, he said that the partition process was going smoothly but the Congress party did not do so.Modi blamed the Congress party for the clashes between AP and Telangana.
