Temperatures are dropping sharply in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.The intensity of winter is gradually increasing.The lowest temperature of 10.4 degrees was recorded in Kumrabhim – Asifabad district.The temperature in Lambasingi areas of Visakhapatnam district drooped to 10 degrees.
Meteorological officials said temperatures could drop to 8 to 10 degrees for the next two days in both the Telugu states.
Currently, the cold weather is intensifying due to winds blowing towards Telangana and AP from northeastern and northwestern India.It is mostly foggy in the morning in both the Telugu states.
Humidity in the air increases by up to 25 per cent more than normal, said the meteorological department officials.
People living in the suburbs and forest areas witnessed snowfall on Thursday morning.
Minimum temperatures dropped in many places of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.The minimum temperature in Visakhapatnam was recorded at 11.5 degrees.The Meteorological department officials said dry weather is expected in all parts of AP in the next two days.
On the other hand, a surface periodicity formed in the Indian ocean in the vicinity of Sri Lanka.The meteorological department said that a low-pressure area would form in this area by December 17.
