San Francisco, Aug 24 : After an anonymous Twitter user said that the microblogging platform has lied to Elon Musk about bots, the billionaire tech entrepreneur has now responded and posted some mysterious tweets.On the microblogging website, Musk said that “in the event that anyone wants to purchase an expensive whistle .” and comes with an image of the whistle.
“So the prevalence of spam was discussed with the board however the board opted not to make it available to the general public” he added.
Some Twitter users also expressed their opinions on the platform regarding the Musk-Twitter scandal.
“You attempted to invest $44 billion for appa and you could have done anything else with the money, and it would have been more beneficial,” a user wrote.
“So Elon Musk made an offer to purchase Twitter without having any idea of the exact nature of what he was purchasing? Thank you for revealing your personal information on Twitter for all to see,”” an additional user commented.
This week Twitter’s former chief of security, Peiter “Mudge” Zatko claimed that the platform run by Parag Agrawal was lying about the number of bots it had on its platform.
It also misled federal regulators regarding the safety of its users.
According to reports in the media, Zatko said that Twitter has “major security issues that pose a risk to its users’ personal data as well as to shareholders of the company and national security and even to democracy”.
Zatko who reported directly to CEO Zatko, was terminated by Twitter in January of this year for “poor performance”.
