New Delhi, Nov 24, : , Mozilla, the company behind the popular web browser Firefox recently announced that it will no longer support its Firefox Lockwise password manager.Mozilla has posted a blog post stating that Firefox Lockwise will cease to be available for download from the App Store and Google Play Store after December 13, 2021.Firefox Lockwise will no longer be available for download on iOS version 1.8.1 or Android version 4.0.3.
Although the application will continue to function on a device it will no longer receive security updates or support.
Mozilla also emailed users to inform about the latest updates.
Mozilla stated in an e-mail that the Firefox Lockwise app would no longer be supported and updated by Mozilla.
It will also not be available in Google Play Stores and Apple App Stores.
“Once that date has passed, Lockwise users will be able to continue accessing their saved passwords and password management in the Firefox desktop or mobile browsers.”
Firefox Lockwise was launched in 2019 for Android and iOS users.It allows them to create, manage and sync passwords across their devices.
