Los Angeles, Aug 19 : Malaysian actress Michelle Yeoh’s work in action movies have been a significant influence on Uma Thurman’s role as the character of The Bride in Quentin Tarantino’s “Kill-Bill”.Then why did Tarantino choose her in his cult martial arts movie?
Michelle herself was faced with the same question when she watched ‘Kill Bill’ and she made sure to ask Tarantino about the issue when they met later, according to Variety.

“I have asked Quentin the exact same question,” Yeoh said in her “Town and Country” interview on the cover (via Entertainment Weekly).”He’s extremely smart.He said”Who would believe that Uma Thurman could kick you in the in the sex What do you think?”

It was the element that worked in favor of Uma and she did not disappoint.According to Variety, Tarantino and Yeoh have a long-standing relationship as close friends.

In fact it was the ‘Pulp Fiction director who prompted Yeoh to keep acting following she was hurt on scene of the 1996 film “The Stunt Girl”.

“I thought I had broken my back.

I thought that I was paralyzed,” Yeoh said, declaring the fact that Tarantino was in Hong Kong at the time she was filming ‘Pulp Fiction’ and decided to see her in the hospital.

“I would like to add, Quentin is a tenacious man,” Yeoh continued.”He is the person he is because he’s full of passion and love, and so he took me down.Then we started to get lively.Then I thought”Maybe I’m not quite willing to let go of this.'”

Yeoh is currently preparing to go on the road for Oscar season, during which she’ll be in the race for the best actress award thanks to her highly acclaimed performance in “Everything Everywhere All At Once.’
