San Francisco, Sep 12 : In advance of the launch images and a clip of Meta, the tech giant’s upcoming virtual reality (VR) headset -Quest Pro Quest Pro — have been shared online by an Facebook user. The photos and later the video of the VR headset went viral online, and were posted on Facebook by Ramiro Cardenas who claims that the device was abandoned in an hotel room, as reported by The Verge.
The model used is identical to what the Project Cambria headset Meta has been promoting since late last year.It has a lot in common with the videos of setup that have been posted online.
In the video Cardenas is seen removing the headset out of its case to reveal the headset and controller with what appears to be an upgraded design.
While the headset features three cameras, the controllers have an appearance that eliminates the hollowed-out loop which houses the sensors to something more sturdy, the report stated.
The packaging features the “Meta Quest Pro” label in the top-left corner .There is also an image that shows the VR headset and controllers.
Cardenas also showed a close-up of the label that was affixed on the box, which read “Not for resale – engineering sample” and informed The Verge that the person who remained in the room later claimed the headsets.
The video and images were released just one month in advance of Meta’s Connect event on October 11, which is lined with with the date the CEO Mark Zuckerberg confirmed for when the company will announce the future VR headset.
Cardenas originally posted the photos in the comments section of an article in the Oculus Quest 2 Facebook page and said numerous devices were missing the report stated.
