Manisha Koirala, a Bollywood actress who overcame cancer, recently discussed marriage, motherhood, and companionship.In an interview, she reflected on whether having a life partner would improve her life.
Manisha was previously married to Samrat Dahal, a Nepali businessman, in 2010, but they separated in 2012, the same year she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer.
When asked about starting a family and becoming a mother, Manisha expressed her thoughts.
She mentioned that although she feels her life is complete with her dog and cat, Mowgli and Simba, as her children, along with her wonderful parents and amazing friends, she sometimes wonders if having a life partner would be nicer.However, she acknowledged the responsibility of raising a child and the challenges of being a single mother.
Manisha emphasized that she would consider it once she feels confident in her ability to balance her health, interests, and the freedom she currently enjoys.
Born in Kathmandu, Manisha comes from a prominent family.
Her father, Prakash Koirala, served as a former minister, and her grandfather, Bishweshwar Prasad Koirala, was the prime minister of Nepal.Her great-uncles, Girija Prasad Koirala and Matrika Prasad Koirala, also held the position of prime minister.
Although Manisha hasn’t appeared in films for some time, her filmography includes successful movies such as “1942: A Love Story” (1994), “Bombay” (1995), “Khamoshi: The Musical” (1996), “Gupt” (1997), and “Dil Se” (1998), among others.Apart from Hindi films, she has worked in Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Malayalam, Kannada, Nepali, and English movies.
