However, now Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has recently made key remarks on the issue.Mamata revealed that TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu bought the controversial Pegasus software when he was the chief minister of AP.
She said Four years ago Pegasus creators had approached the Bengal police to sell the software for Rs 25 crore.She said she rejected the same.
Mamata explained that Chandrababu, who was the AP CM at the time, had bought it.YCP leaders at the time accused the TDP government of the same.But the TDP denied them.
Recently, Lokesh, the TDP general secretary, responded to Mamata Banerjee’s remarks.The developers then approached the state government to buy Pegasus software, but the government refused.Chandrababu made it clear that he never tolerated illegal activities.
However, in response to the remarks made by Mamata Banerjee, Lokesh tried to clarify that she was saying something with false information.He said that the Telugu government had not bought the Pegasus software.
He questioned whether CM Jagan would have come to power if they had bought the software.He recalled that as soon as CM Jagan came to power, he checked the files of all departments, including IT.
