In Maharashtra, an NGO called ‘Samarth Bharat Vyasapit’, with the help of the Thane Municipal Corporation, has set up a barrier with containers called ‘Signal Shala’ under a flyover in the city.Safedukate, a Delhi-based company, has set up a training center with about eight containers at Binola in Gurugram.
Amrish Chandra, founder of Out of School Children, announced that another 50 container schools would be built for children in slum areas.The lifespan of the containers is 12 years.Recycling them is difficult.So, Ghaziabad-based architect Rahul Jain says the best way is to rebuild them.
They are used as an alternative to buildings as they are sturdy and of good quality.These are easy to move and can be taken anywhere.
