Berlin 1st September : LG Electronics said on Thursday that it will reveal an unheard-of refrigerator that will change the color of its doors at a major electronics trade show called IFA 2022′ in Berlin, as part of efforts to create an innovative vision for household appliances.LG’s MoodUp refrigerator can be customized to match the colour of the LED doors using LG’s ThinQ application, with 22 different colours for the upper panel, and 19 colors for the lower portion.
It comes with an integrated Bluetooth speaker and the LED panels change color in tune with music, according to Yonhap news agency.
“We at LG have always found innovative new ways to take the customer experience forward , and we are excited to continue this trend with the brand new MoodUP refrigerator.” Lyu Jaecheol, the president of the appliance division and air solution for homes, said at a press conference.
“The MoodUp refrigerator is the result of LG’s ferocious efforts to put itself in the customers’ shoes,” he said.
The South Korean tech company said the new product is a part of its long-term strategy to develop appliances for homes that can be customized to reflect your personal preferences as well as lifestyles and moods.
LG has been looking to differentiate its products so that they will provide customers with an experience that is unique and unique.
In the spring of this year, the business introduced upgradeable home appliances that can better serve the diverse needs of consumers, in what it said could be a significant change from selling products to providing better customer experiences.It will also mark significant changes of the method in which it communicates with customers in order to create new value.
The upgrades are available via software updates, as well as by installing components and modular equipment in existing appliances.
Since the introduction of LG UP appliances, the number of LG ThinQ application users has increased by two-fold according to the company and added that over 50 percent of users have also upgraded their appliances using the application.
The company has released 18 UP appliances to date and has stated that it will eventually make each LG product upgradeable in the near future.
