KTR launched Public Safety Integrated Operations and Data Centre at the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate.
IT Minister KT Rama Rao has recently launched Public Safety Integrated Operations and Data Centre at the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate.
It is said to be first of its kind in the country.After the launch, the IT Minister has suggested the police to use drone facility for women safety.
He said police drones should go first to the spot when a woman in danger presses the SOS button.He suggested that the drones would suitably be equipped with a camera and an alarm to warn the criminals.
KTR said such drones could act as primary responders while the police could physically reach the spot as secondary responders.He asked the State police to take up idea to the Directorate-General of Civil Aviation or the Central government and get permission for the drones.
Responding on the use of cutting-edge technology to remain proactive and not reactive, the Minister said an MoU was signed on Wednesday between the Telangana Police and the IT Department to train the police force in cybersecurity.He also asked to come up with a mechanism for making an obstruction-free path for ambulances keeping in mind the incident where a constable ran nearly two kilometres to clear the way for an ambulance.
