The counselling process for admission to Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and government-funded technical institutes in the country will begin from October 16.To this end, the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA-2021) has already announced the counselling schedule for admissions.
JoSAA will begin the admissions process once the JEE Advanced results are released.The JEE Main results are expected to be released before September 11.IIT Kharagpur has extended the last date for registration for the Advanced Examination to September 21.Candidates who want to appear for JEE Advance examination can register today.
2.50 lakh students, who have cleared JEE Main examination, have applied for JEE Advanced examination.However, these students will appear for JEE Advanced examination on October 3.The test will be conducted in two papers in the morning and afternoon sessions.
The results of the JEE Advanced exam will be released on October 15.Counselling for admissions begins on October 16.Seats in 23 IITs, 31 NITs, 26 IIITs and 29 Government-funded Technical Institutes (GIFTs) will be allotted to the respective candidates based on merit and reservation.
