As the calendar dates to August 19th, Telangana will gear for the biggest ever household survey which will decide the beneficiaries of all the welfare schemes taken up by the state government.At the same time, there is a panic over Telangana people about the details of the survey as there is no proper information given by officials.
Since this survey is first of its kind in the country every one are not sure of what is going to happen on that day.Telangana government has declared Public holiday on that day and even banned the public transport to make sure people stay indoors.
We have decided to clear some doubts of our resders regarding the massive survey.The survey will 10 sub-sections and details will be sought on 70 parameters including social and economic details, movable and immovable assets etc.Complete information of all the families living in Telangana like personal details of family members, including religion, caste, ration card, bank accounts, marital status to details about Aadhaar, pensions, ownership of houses, whether beneficiary of government housing schemes etc, details about electricity connection, and physically-challenged if any, even diseases and agriculture details including livestock details and movable assets like vehicles, tractors and agri-related machinery, will be collected.
Telangana state government has uploaded the forms in its website which are used at the time of survey on August 19.
Three forms are posted in the official site.Of them, one is used for rural area and another is used for the citizens living in GHMC.
The third is just the English format for the GHMC citizens.
The documents to be produced to enumerator on the survey day are:

The government announced help line number to clarify the doubts of people.
The Help Desk Number is 040 – 21 11 11 11.
In order to make the IHS simple, a pamphlet and a checklist in three languages will be given to households on August 17 and 18 during the pre-survey visit.A sticker will be pasted on the house door during the pre-visit and citizens will be given the contact number of the enumerator to clear up further doubts.
Over 369,000 state government employees, including police and teachers, will conduct the survey across 10 districts of Telangana and survey 8.4 million households, according to government estimates.The Telangana government has already issued order allocating Rs.20 crore (Rs.2 crore for each district).Government is planning to wind up the entire exercise in 12 hours (8AM to 8PM on August 19th).The government is stubborn to complete it in a day so as to avoid duplication due to re-registrations if done on different days.
People are trying to somehow get back to their natives by that day and as a result there is a huge demand for bus, train tickets for that day.And needless to say the black marketing is at its peaks.
