Puliyoorkurichy (Tamil Nadu) Sep 9, : Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who has embarked on the 150-day, 3,570 km long marchthe Bharat Jodo Yatra which originates from Kanyakumari on Friday, declared that the Yatra will help the party and make him more knowledgeable. “The concept of this Yatra is to make contact with the population, to listen to them, comprehend what they’re facing and convey to them some aspects.
to convey the reality that India has changed,” he said, adding: “This yatra is going aid the Congress party.I don’t believe it’s going to hurt the party.”
He stated that he accepted to be a part of the Padyatra because he believed in the ideals of the Congress party.
“I believe it is vital that these ideals are propagated in the nation,” the former Congress president stated.
He declared it to be an effective action to take, not just from a political point of view, but also from an individual standpoint.
“It isn’t an easy task to complete and he believed it was worth it to look at it from a personal viewpoint.
“So it’s an entirely different approach of looking at things.It’s a different method of thinking about things, but I hope I will gain some understanding of myself and a better understanding of the country I am visiting from Yatra and I am sure that a few months from now, I will be a bit more educated,” he added.
