National award-winning Tamil actor-filmmaker Samuthirakani is getting busy in Tollywood with a handful of big-ticket movies as last year, the actor had treated the audience with ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramulo’ with his mannerism and slang.After ‘Krack’, the film industry has been raving about him for his character Katari Krishna and he will be next seen in a crucial role in Rajamouli’s ambitious multi-starrer, ‘RRR’.
Along with this, the actor has another film in his kitty that is currently filming.
We already know that the makers of ‘Ayyappanum Koshiyum’ remake have finalized actors Pawan Kalyan and Rana Daggubati to play Prithviraj and Biju Menon’s characters in the Telugu remake of the film.
The latest buzz is now that this director turned actor is being roped to play the character of Rana Daggubati’s father.This has been confirmed by Samuthirakani himself in an interview.
He further said that he doesn’t know much about his character in the movie and that Trivikram had called him and told him that he had designed a good role for him.In ‘Ayyappanum Koshiyum’, Prithviraj’s father plays a pivotal role in helping the actor make decisions that lead to a twist in circumstances. The Telugu remake of ‘Ayyappanum Koshiyum’ will be helmed by director Sagar Chandra of ‘Appatlo Okadundevadu’ fame.Music director S.S.Thaman will be composing the tunes of the remake.Producer Suryadevara Naga Vamsi will bankroll this massive project under Sithara Entertainments.The leading ladies for the Telugu remake are yet to be announced and will be done sometime in the near future.
The pooja ceremony for the film was completed and the first schedule of the shooting has also begun in Pollachi.
