Andhra Pradesh government has decided to lay foundation stone for the proposed AP Capital city Amaravati.Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu is understood to have zeroed in on June 6 to lay the foundation stone for the new capital city.
Vedic pundits told that June 5, 6 and 8 are auspicious days for the State government to hold the groundbreaking ceremony for the new capital.However construction works will start from October 22nd on the eve of Dushera festival, which is considered to be very auspicious day for initiating works.
Labour Minister K Atchannaidu revealed details to media after a meeting of the state cabinet chaired by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.According to minister Atchannaidu, even if the two Singapore agencies do not submit the master plans — one for core capital and another for the entire capital city — by June 6, the State government wants to have foundation stone laying on that day.
Singapore is working in partnership with Andhra Pradesh under a memorandum of understanding signed on December 8, 2014.Surbana International Consultants and Jurong Consultants are the master planners.
The core capital will have the secretariat, Raj Bhawan, legislative assembly, and high court.These are four buildings the AP government is likely to start building while it is hopeful of funds from the Centre to build roads, civic infrastructure, quarters for ministers and government officers and staff.
