San Francisco, Nov 30, : Apple is working on a charger capable of charging multiple devices simultaneously, including an iPhone, AirPods and Watch. MacRumors reports that Mark Gurman, the editor of Power On, revealed some interesting details about the company’s future wireless charging technology in the latest issue of his newsletter.
He wrote, “I believe Apple is working to short- and long-distance wireless charger devices and that it envisions a future in which all of Apple’s major products can charge one another.” Imagine an iPad charging an iPhone, then an iPhone charging AirPods and an Apple Watch.
He also stated that Apple is seeking wireless charging for both short- and long-distance, which is a lot more advanced than its current induction charging offerings.
Gurman adds, “Imagine an iPad charging an iPhone, then that iPhone charging AirPods and an Apple Watch.”
The iPhone maker currently sells the MagSafe Duo wireless charging charger, which charges both the iPhone AND Apple Watch/AirPods simultaneously.
Apple announced the AirPower in September 2017, alongside the iPhone 8 and iPhone X.However, the company pulled the plug in March 2019.
Cupertino-based tech giant Apple envisions a future where all its major devices can be charged together.
